The New Year is all about sweetness. Bring a taste of tradition home and ring in Rosh Hashana by baking a honey cake. Gather your family and let's get baking.
*Each kit makes 2 honey cakes in loaf pans.
Honey cake is a traditional holiday favorite for the Jewish New Year. Known in Hebrew as ʿUgat dvash' (literally, honey cake) and in Yiddish as, 'lekach', from the Aramaic, lĕkhakh, meaning to mix thoroughly.
My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter lives in Chicago with her two moms. I love being able to send them an experience they can all enjoy together. I first sent the Challah kit and they loved that. It was a huge hit. Next I sent the honey cake. They said it was the best honey cake they had ever tasted. I am going to send a second one to them this week.
